All BBM products are designed by high performance automotive industry veterans and manufactured in our state-of-the-art OEM foundries.

Through meticulous engineering, hand-porting, and testing, we arrived at the industry-leading design used
for our cylinder heads and proprietary heart-shaped combustion chambers.
We use hardened valve seats to be compatible with today’s fuels, top quality bronze valve guide inserts,
and timeserts installed in all appropriate threaded holes rather than the cheaper and more commonly used helicoils.

Our industry-leading BBM blocks are available in both cast iron and aluminum. Using a traditional side oiler system,
the external appearance of the block is identical to the original 1965 OEM side oiler block but has been significantly strengthened.
All of our blocks are drilled for hydraulic lifters and well-suited for high performance, racing, and restoration work.

FE Products

BBM Aluminum FE Engine Block (FE427 Side Oiler)

  • The new BBM FE engine block is significantly stronger than the stock block and is ideally suited for both restoration and high performance purposes. It has a larger bore capacity, allowing for much larger displacement engines without the cylinder wall weakness issues that have plagued the stock OEM blocks. Our BBM Aluminum FE engine blocks offer the additional weight savings of modern aluminum blocks and are cast in state-of-the-art, modern OEM foundries.

Pair our BBM Fe Block with the BBM FE Cylinder Heads and BBM Tunnel Wedge Intake Manifold for unprecedented bolt-on strength, power, and reliability.

BBM FE Cylinder Heads

  • Bear Block Motors (BBM) is proud to introduce the incredible new BBM FE cylinder head for 390, 427, and 428 big-blocks with 2.150/1.650 or 2.200/1.650 inch intake/exhaust valves with the lightweight 11/32 inch stems. Combustion chambers are engineered for optimum swirl and quench right out of box. High-swirl/high-quench chambers allow for more aggressive ignition timing on today’s more unforgiving pump gas. BBM heads flow 35-50 more CFM than current aftermarket FE head and 3 to 5 degrees less timing requires. Also available are CNC-ported FE aluminum heads with 2.250/1.710-inch valves, which calls for 4.230 inch minimum bore size.
